Church Gate Collection

The Parent’s Association are holding the annual Church gate collection this Sat Jan 25th/ Sun Jan 26th. Thanks to all our parents who help collect in our local County Longford parishes. Last year’s funds were spent on new tables and chairs for the SEN room.

Walton’s Music For Schools competition.

Best of luck to Ms O Mahony and the Ceili band who are performing a piece this Friday to enter the prestigious Waltons Music For Schools competition. Mr Carroll will record the performance.

5th yr/ TY Parent-Teacher Meeting 4.15 pm

Our 5th yr and TY parent teacher meeting takes place this Tuesday, FEB 4th in the school gym from 4.15 to 6.45 pm. Your child’s school diary will be in the front hall for collection. The teachers name and subject will be at the front of their school diary.

Magic of the Musicals JAN 29TH/30TH/31ST

Our upcoming school show “Magic of the Musicals” takes place on the 29th, 30th and 31st of January 2020. A host of talented dancers, singers and musicians, from all year groups will guarantee a great night’s entertainment, showcasing to the community, the amazing talent that Cnoc Mhuire has to offer! Tickets cost €12.50 and  are available  now.

Senior Cycle Options Wed 15th Jan 2020

The presentation on Senior Cycle Options takes place Wednesday, Jan 15 tth. . At 7.00 pm
Transition Year Option talk for all Junior Cycle students and their parents/ guardians. This
will be followed at 7.30 pm Leaving Certificate Options for current Transition Year
students and their parents/guardians. This will be an informative night and help students with
their decisions regarding senior cycle.

1st year Parent- teacher meeting Dec 5th 4.15- 6.45 pm.

Our 1st year parent teacher meeting takes place this Thursday, Dec 5th in the school gym. Your child’s school diary will be in the front hall for collection. The teachers name and subject will be at the front of the school diary. On that evening, we will have a Christmas fair. The students will showcase TY woodwork projects, Christmas cards and festive goodies. All the proceeds will go to charity. Thank you for your support.

ART in Cnoc Mhuire

It has been a very busy term in the school’s art Department and for teachr, Ms Hetherton. The 6th year Art class travelled to Dublin on Thursday 19/11/19 for the Creative Art Engagement Exhibition, which took place in the National Indoor Sports Arena Blanchardstown. Senator Marie Louise O’Donnell was the key note speaker. 2019 all Ireland Scholarship Award

Velin Kolev recently received a J.P. McManus award in University of Limerick from the minister of state, Mary Mitchel O Connor. Velin completed his Leaving Cert in June and is presently studying Pharmacy in RCSI. Joe Schmidt was the keynote speaker. The scholarships programme was established in 2008 to support gifted young students across Ireland by providing them with financial support thus enabling them to participate in all aspects of university life. Easy Payments Plus- Mock fees

Mock fees are 110 euro. This includes papers, packaging. postage, correction and exam booklets. Mock exams will be in early Feb 2020. The fees can be paid in one or two instalments. The first instalment is due by Dec 2nd.
