Our school has the very proud distinction of having been awarded a Green Flag for our efforts in recycling and water and energy conservation.
We have our own dedicated recycling room and a team of students that ensures, under the guidance of various class teachers, that there is no needless waste in the school. A recycling bin is placed in each of the classrooms as well as larger versions throughout the school. These are collected on a daily basis for sorting.
In 2012 we were very proud to accept our fourth Green Flag. This demonstrates our commitment to waste and energy conservation in our school. We are committed to developing the programme and endeavour to make our school a greener place.
The school was awarded its first green flag by the President Mary McAleese in 2004.
