The State Examinations Commission has issued a reminder that, in order to access all of their on-line services this year candidates must register on the Candidate Self Service Portal. Each of the Leaving Certificate candidates were issued with;
a) Their personalised PIN letter and Candidate Information Leaflet
- b) A copy of the Candidate Information Booklet
The personalised letter contained the PIN is accompanied by a leaflet explaining how to go about the simple registration process. The Candidate Information Booklet was delivered into schools last week and this should have served as a further reminder to candidates to register for the results, viewing and appeal services.
However, the registration rate on the Portal remains low with less than one third of candidates registered at this point. The concern now is that candidates will only realise that they need to register for the service very close to, or after, the date of results issue. This will create difficulties for schools and for SEC.
Leaving Certificate students should register now for the Candidate Self Service Portal on www.examinations.ie in order to have access to the Leaving Certificate Results, Viewing and Appeals services in August. To register, students will need their exam number and PIN.
